ALYSSA & NED
Hello and happy Tuesday! Over the weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Alyssa and Ned's beautiful wedding at Elkridge Club. This wedding was extra special because it is the third wedding I have photographed for the groom's family. I have so many wonderful clients and families that I have worked with over the years, and the Emala family is definitely one of my favorites! They are so kind and SO much fun.....their weddings are always such a blast!
Needless to say, I love photographing weddings at Elkridge. The grounds and ballroom are beautiful, and their team of event professionals are top notch. This was evident when an unexpected rain storm arrived 1.5 hrs before the outdoor ceremony! It was all hands on deck to make some quick decisions and get the ceremony space ready for the 150 plus guests that were soon to arrive!
A perfect example of why I love this couple is that they weren't upset about the weather. Ned rolled up his sleeves ready to help with a rain plan if need be, and Alyssa said "it's okay... I get to marry Ned today and that's all that matters." I loved hearing that, because at the end of the day that is all that matters.
Luckily, everything went off without a hitch, and Alyssa and Ned had a beautiful outdoor ceremony with sunshine and blue skies! We moved indoors for the reception and it was rockin! It's safe to say everyone had a great time!
There were so many highlights on this day, but two that stood out to me are: the first look between Alyssa and her Dad (always a special moment that I love to photograph), and the choreographed dance performed by Ned and his Mom! It was definitely the most impressive parent dance that I've witnessed to date....well done!
I am so happy for this sweet couple who have been such a joy to photograph. Without further ado, let's get to the photos!
