LOUISE & MIKE

Hi everyone, I'm so excited to brighten up this dreary day with images from Louise and Mike's beautiful wedding! This was an extra special wedding for me. See, Louise is actually family....she is my cousin-in law (ish). So, although I was invited as a guest, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph this wonderful couple! I was also fortunate to photograph Mike's sister's wedding (Jamie) two years ago. Jamie and her husband, Kevin are now expecting their first child- so exciting!! And that's not all! Long before I became a Daue, I coached Louise's younger sister Kathleen in lacrosse at NDP. Louise's Mom, Kay has been kicking my butt in the gym for over 15 years! She and I are both fitness instructors at ACAC. And while I only teach once a week these days, Kay teaches just about everything....she's the best! So now that you know my history and connection with this couple, you can understand how I felt super connected to them, way before they asked me to photograph their wedding (I don't think they had a choice, haha!)

Lauren did a great job photographing Mike and the guys beforehand, and documenting the rest of the day along with me.

The ceremony took place at Mike's alma mater, Loyola Blakefield, followed by a reception at the Accelerator space, located near Belvedere Square.

Before the ceremony, I met the ladies at Louise and Mike's home in Rodger's Forge to get some detail images, along with a few portraits. Louise also had a "first look" with her Dad, I love those...so sweet! Lauren met Mike and the guys at his parent's home, followed by formal portraits of the boys at Loyola.

The day went off without a hitch, thanks to the planning of Lisa Gaskarth of Union 3 event productions. I loved this wedding. I could go on and on... about Louise's dress, the wedding speeches, the BAND, Father Joe Muth and the beautiful vocals of Al Walsh, but I'm sure you'd prefer to get to the photos.
